LITTLE WOLF and CRAZY BEAR
Divide the group into four smaller groups and assign each group one of the words listed below. Read the story. After each of the words is read pause for the group to make the appropriate response

Now LITTLE WOLF ___ and CRAZY BEAR ___ were from a tribe of American Indians who got their food hunting BUFFALO ___. They roamed the plains, always on the look-out for BUFFALO ___. But since the COWBOYS ___ had come to their land, the BUFFALOS ___ were scarce. LITTLE WOLF ___ and CRAZY BEAR ___ had a hard time finding any BUFFALO ___ to feed their people. But they didn't have any trouble at all finding COWBOYS ___. In fact, they had to hide quite often so the COWBOYS ___ couldn't shoot them. Up and down the plains LITTLE WOLF ___ and CRAZY BEAR ___ roamed searching out the BUFFALO ___ and hiding from the COWBOYS ___.
One day LITTLE WOLF ___ saw something moving through the brush and he called to CRAZY BEAR ___. " Hey, CRAZY BEAR ___, what is that?" " I don't know, LITTLE WOLF ___," replied CRAZY BEAR ___, "but it looks like it might be good to eat." LITTLE WOLF ___ laughed and said, " I think it belongs to the COWBOYS ___." " Well, I know it's not a BUFFALO ___," replied CRAZY BEAR ___. So LITTLE WOLF ___, a true Indian hunter, pulled back his bow and the arrow went straight to the mysterious animal. CRAZY BEAR ___ then went to work skinning and preparing it to take back to the tribe.
After all this work, the two Indian hunters were hungry, so they built a fire and cooked some of the meat. " This tastes too good to be BUFFALO ___," said LITTLE WOLF ___. " Yeah," said CRAZY BEAR ___. " Those COWBOYS ___ sure raise good meat. I wonder why they kill our BUFFALO ___."
When LITTLE WOLF ___ and CRAZY BEAR ___ took the meat back to the tribe, all the women wanted more of the meat. So the hunters set out to find the COWBOYS ___ and find what this strange animal was. When LITTLE WOLF ___ and CRAZY BEAR ___ came on the COWBOY ___ camp, it was early in the morning. The COWBOYS ___ were still asleep. LITTLE WOLF ___ and CRAZY BEAR ___ saw one of those animals sitting way out from the camp, so they decided to kill it and drag it away. As they were dragging it away, two of the COWBOYS ___ woke up. "Hey, BUFFALO ___ Bill, did you see that?" asked one of the COWBOYS ___. " Sure did! " was the reply. " I see someone finally got that sitting bull! "
